FBI agents Mulder and Scully investigate a group of high school students who miraculously survived a deadly plane crash after one of their classmates, Alex, got a premonition of the accident. But as fate would have it, the survivors start dying in mysterious circumstances… Is Alex the one responsible, or is Death itself tying up
loose ends?
The script for FINAL DESTINATION started as an episode of THE X-FILES and you can still sort of see remnants in the final movie, also due to the writer and director having worked on the show. Using scenes, footage or audio from around 60 episodes, I integrated Mulder and Scully into the plot of FINAL DESTINATION. I also replaced the film’s score with music by Mark Snow, the show’s composer.
This was a tremendously difficult and tedious edit to finish due to the nature of stitching footage from so many sources in a somewhat believable way. The results are not seamless by any means, but if you’re a fan of THE X-FILES, you’ll enjoy seeing how the usual tropes of a Mulder and Scully investigation play out in the world of FINAL DESTINATION.
